Victory for Panthers at PGL
It was an action packed weekend that started with abseiling and high ropes as a warm up before the netball competition got under way in the afternoon. With their new kit receiving some envious glances, Panthers won three of the five games scheduled that afternoon in style. Sunday continued with some rifle shooting before playing their final game of preliminaries which they won comfortably 16-3. While goal difference and average goals were taken into consideration it was a nervous wait to see if they had got through to the final…they had, but only just by 0.3 of a goal!
With a surprise visit from Hertfordshire Mavericks and England Squad member 'Sasha Corbin', the girls prepared for the final against Dudley Netball Club who they had lost to on the Saturday. Panthers came out fighting, they battled for every ball and rebound securing an early lead. Dudley were not able to get back on level terms and Panthers were able to keep the pressure on winning 7-5!
Tracey, Coach for the weekend said "This is the best netball I've seen Panthers play, they are a true asset to Hampton Ladies Netball Club and we are all very proud of their achievement".

FUNDRAISING
To help with the travel costs Panthers took part in a couple of fund raising activities including the Great Eastern Fun Run on October 13th, bag packing at Tesco in Hampton and organised a raffle.
Great Eastern Fun Run
Fund raising was kick started by four of the girls who took part in the Great Eastern Fun Run on a very cold and extremely wet Sunday morning for sponsorship.
A big well done to Tara, Phoebe, Amy and Olivia who between them raised £107.
Tescos Bag Packing
On December 11th from 5 - 7.30pm Phoebe, Tara, Olivia and Karlie offered to pack shoppers bags at Tescos to continue with their fundraising. As numbers were a little low Lauren, Hannah, Tomi, Abigail and Olivia kindly helped out for an hour or so and between them they raised £200.78! Well done to all girls for their welcoming smile and their 'happy to help' attitude throughout the evening and a special thank you to those Leopards that helped out.
